Shady Barakat
Shady is an Executive Coach and a Senior Learning Facilitator at LCE, delivering a wide spectrum of topics within the domains of Leadership Development, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, Systems Intelligence, Mindfulness, Coaching and Effective Communication.
His real strength as a facilitator lies in ability to explain sophisticated theories in a simple and humorous manner, giving people deep insights and understanding of the concept and its applications in day to day life. As a coach, he helps clients strengthen their self-awareness to prioritize their values, shift behaviors and strengthen relationships.
He has a corporate experience of more than 8 years in well Known multinational firms (Mars chocolates, Vodafone and Etisalat) in addition to 9 years in the Human Development & Training field. Throughout his corporate career he has worked in the Logistics, Sales & Marketing areas and joined Vodafone’s Program for Youth Development (YLI) as a trainer.
Shady was one of the founders of a startup that was ranked by Google among the top 20 startups in “Ebda2 '' competition in Egypt. After that he decided to focus on training & coaching. He got certified by JS International, went through the CTI (Coach Training Institute) Program in Turkey and the ECCP (Executive Coaching Program) in Egypt. Since then, Shady has conducted more than 8,000 hours of facilitation and 1,100 hours of coaching and mentoring.
Shady is now preparing for his masters in Occupational Health Psychology to further pursue his passion in helping leaders work on their wellness and fulfillment.
Shady was appointed as the first mental coach of the Egyptian National Soccer Team, working with players on managing their stress level to maximize their mental resilience and performance on the pitch.
Shady has worked with a lot of leaders with diverse backgrounds (across the MENA region) and coming from different industries like Telecommunication, FMCGs, Banking, Education, Information Technology, Construction and Hospitality. Some of his significant assignments were conducted with Vodafone, Nestle, Danone, MTN, Dell EMC, Schneider Electric, AstraZeneca, GSK, Grant Thornton, Etisalat, Valeo, and Hero.
Shady has always enjoyed working with youth in different development programs. He has worked with AUC on several camps for university students. This collaboration was part of reputable scholarships that focused on developing the emotional and mental capacities of promising students.
